A Transformative Experience, Here and Away

Everything your student needs to succeed is all in one place: dining, fitness, state of the art classrooms and labs, performance and rehearsal venues, the NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center, and so much more. Our unique campus was designed to encourage a sense of community between students, faculty, staff, and the local community, and all undergraduate students are able to live on campus.

Global study is a cornerstone of the NYUAD experience. Your student will be encouraged to expand their horizons and spend up to two semesters studying away in the NYU global network. In addition, a three-week January Term and Summer Terms can also be taken in Abu Dhabi or another NYU global learning site.

NYU Abu Dhabi’s 38-acre, pedestrian-only campus is situated just 15 minutes from the city center in the cultural district of Saadiyat Island. Your student will become immersed in Abu Dhabi and the UAE through classes, internships, community service, and casual travel. Important Application Information

NYU Abu Dhabi is a highly selective university. Read more information about our selection process. Your student’s application will have the two components:

  1. Common Application (If the application fee causes a financial hardship, students can request a fee waiver on the Common Application)
  2. School report (including a letter from a guidance counselor and a transcript)

Financial Aid

To be considered for need-based  institutional grants, you must submit the CSS Profile(s) for both your custodial and noncustodial parents (if applicable) by the appropriate financial aid deadline

Supporting documentation may be required upon NYU’s receipt of your CSS Profile. Please do not submit any additional documents unless requested.

Admitted Emirati nationals and children of Emirati mothers and fathers are awarded the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed NYUAD Scholarship for Exceptional Emirati Students. This scholarship covers the tuition, foreign travel for study integral to a student's academic program, NYUAD room and food, student health insurance, books, and many campus life activities for four years.

Additionally, UAE national students may be eligible for a need-based personal support award (Falcon Dirhams). A CSS Profile application and demonstrated financial need is required to be considered for this award.

Submitting the CSS Profile is optional and this application will not impact the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed NYUAD Scholarship for Exceptional Emirati Students.
