Now that you've received your offer of admission it's likely that you have questions, want to meet current students, and/or talk with staff members from across the University. During the month of April, we'll be hosting live virtual and in-person events to help you connect with the NYU Abu Dhabi community. You can access these through our Admitted Student Resource hub.
Get the experience of our academic building, state-of-the-art-facilities, residence halls, and the neighboring community with a virtual tour or book your spot for an in-person campus tour.
Students admitted to NYU Abu Dhabi as part of the Class of 2028 will receive an email sometime in May with information about how to set up their NYU Abu Dhabi email address. You will not be able to activate your NYU NetID (network identification) until you receive the initial communication. It will be important for you to activate your NYU NetID immediately as all future communications will be sent solely to your nyu.edu email address.
For instructions about activating email and/or login issues, please read more here.
If you are not receiving emails from NYU Abu Dhabi it is possible that you’ve activated your NYU NetID, but did not activate your NYU email. You can activate your NYU email easily by going to the start page and select the link "Google Apps for Education Password." Once you set the password, your email will be activated.
MFA (Multi Factor Authentication) is standard within NYU Abu Dhabi. You will require this to access the student portal and NYU email. Follow the steps to enroll for MFA (NetID required).
We'd never forget about the parents and guardians that have helped their students reach this exceptional milestone. Keep an eye on your email for an invitation to join our NYU Abu Dhabi Parents and Families Facebook group.
Please arrange with your high school counselor or official to have your final transcript sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in New York. Final transcripts can be submitted by your counselor through the Common Application, by email to admissions.docs@nyu.edu from your counselor’s school email address, or by mail to the following addresses:
ATTN: NYU Abu Dhabi
400 Lafayette Street
New York, NY 10003
USA
All matriculated students who have attended an institution outside of the United States will be contacted directly by our partner, the Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE), to submit final transcript and relevant proof of graduation or final exam documents, where their authenticity will be confirmed and then shared with NYU Abu Dhabi.
Please review our Proof of Graduation Requirements for Students Attending Non-US. Institutions for instructions.
You have or will receive communications from the Undergraduate Admissions Office regarding the submission of certain documents such as a passport photo and a copy of your passport among other items sometime in May. Some of you have not yet — nothing to worry about! Our Student Affairs Offices will begin sending out information regarding immigration documents, First Week Programming, as well as other useful onboarding information to help your transition to campus in the fall.
For the purposes of the UAE student visa, your passport should be valid for at least two years from your start at NYU Abu Dhabi and contain several blank pages for visa stamps. It is important to note that students that hold a diplomatic passport must apply for a regular passport for the UAE visa process. Visas cannot be processed on a diplomatic passport.
For further questions about immigration, please email nyuad.immigration@nyu.edu.
For any urgent questions regarding your transition to campus, please contact nyuad.firstyear@nyu.edu.
The CSS Profile(s), and any supporting financial documentation (if requested), are required for all students wishing to be considered for need-based financial aid from NYU Abu Dhabi.
You may be asked to submit tax forms and/or financial statements to verify the information reported on your Profile application. You must provide all documentation requested by the Office of Financial Support in a timely manner. Requested documentation should be presented in English or be accompanied by an English translation. Your award offer will be affected, only if you do not respond to data requests or if significant changes or data corrections are determined during the verification process.
You may access the details of your award offer on your To Do list through NYU Albert Student Center. On the Homepage you will see the To Do list. You may also view your up-to-date offer under the "Finances" tab for the 2023-2024 aid year.
You should read your award letter carefully as it will outline the details and requirements of your offer. You may also view the 2023-2024 estimated Cost of Attendance on the NYU Albert Student Center under the "Finances'' tab followed by "Financial Aid Links."
If you are expected to receive financial aid from a source outside of your family, please notify the Office of Financial Support at nyuad.financial.support@nyu.edu of that assistance. Such support may be in the form of government grants, scholarships from community organizations, or other sources. Any such financial support from an external source will be considered in determining the amount of financial aid you ultimately receive from NYU Abu Dhabi. Please note, your combined awards cannot exceed the annual cost of attendance.
If your financial aid covers home travel, please do not make your own travel arrangements as the University (Office of Global Education) will send you more information and instructions about your travel to Abu Dhabi in mid-May.
If your financial aid does not cover home travel, please make sure you book a flight landing in Abu Dhabi during the scheduled move-in dates for Marhaba. Due to UAE visa regulations, it is necessary for all flights to be booked to arrive in Abu Dhabi (not Dubai or Sharjah).
Please note that in May you will also receive more information about the UAE visa process. Once the visa procurement process begins, please do not plan any kind of travel through the UAE prior to Marhaba as this would invalidate the entry permit the University will be arranging for you.
If you have any travel/visa questions you may send your inquiry to the Student Mobility Office at nyuad.studentmobility@nyu.edu.
