Advising

Whether you are finding your first job, applying to graduate school, or transitioning to a new career, NYUAD CDC advisors are always happy to help. Log in to Handshake and select "Appointments" under the Career Center tab to schedule your advising appointment. Advising is available through in-person or virtual sessions. CDC counselors and advisors are trained to help you navigate all aspects of your career, including career planning and goal setting, developing professional materials (CVs, cover letters, applications, personal statements, etc.), creating a job search strategy, mock interviews, and negotiating job offers.

Jobs and Recruiting

Handshake is NYU’s jobs and recruitment platform. As alumni of NYU, you have full access to the jobs, events, and resources posted on Handshake. Create your profile to receive personalized job recommendations suited to your interests. Even if you are not looking for a new position now, activate your Handshake account today to make yourself searchable for new opportunities.

Networking

Alumni from across the NYU Alumni Association are eager to support each other in their personal and professional development. Students and alumni are encouraged to join the NYU Violet Network, the official online community driving powerful professional connections within our global network. Identify and connect with members of the NYU community to get one-on-one professional advice. This platform also allows you to search for and connect with people based on their industry, location, company, and other areas of interest.

Events

All CDC events are open to NYUAD alumni. Attend Career Fairs, Graduate School Weekend, or Networking Nights to discover the opportunities open to you. Most CDC events are currently held in-person in Abu Dhabi, but some workshops, panels, and employer sessions may be available virtually. Check Handshake for upcoming virtual events.
