Spring MCAT Preparation and Pre-Health Seminar

As part of a pre-health focused, spring semester abroad at NYU Abu Dhabi, students from NYU New York and NYU Shanghai can apply to be part of a competitive pre-health cohort that receives professional MCAT preparation funded by NYUAD as well as an introduction to the healthcare system in Abu Dhabi, including visits to healthcare-related organizations.

Students may further enroll in courses often needed as part of the pre-health curriculum, such as Organic Chemistry 2, Introduction to Psychology, or Physics 2 and a variety of electives in other fields.

Students seeking work experience may also apply for a paid student assistantship (similar to work study), which allows them to do a paid internship or participate in undergraduate research on the NYUAD campus for up to 15 hours per week.

Eigibility Requirements

Seats are limited. Students will be selected for the pre-health cohort on a competitive basis and must:

  1. have completed at least 60 credits at NYU and have a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.5
  2. apply for a study abroad semester at NYUAD through the NYU Global Programs application portal. The priority application deadline for spring semester is September 15, 2023.
