Engineering Minor
Minors in Engineering is open to all NYUAD non-engineering students, offer exposure to one particular field within Engineering, which can be one of the four degree programs in Engineering or one of the five thematic research areas in Engineering:
- Biomedical and Health Systems
- Cyber Security
- Environmental Sustainability
- Robotics
- Urban Systems
Knowledge of engineering principles is essential for problem solving in various fields ranging from the Sciences to Social Sciences and Arts. The course of study for the minor must be approved, in writing, by the student’s mentor and the Dean of Engineering.
Academic Readiness and Mathematics Preparation
This program requires quantitative coursework, including at least one semester of calculus. Applicants are encouraged to have a strong foundation in algebra, pre-calculus, and/or calculus and related core mathematical skills when applying to NYU Abu Dhabi to support academic success and curriculum readiness.
