Goffredo Puccetti is Assistant Professor of Practice at NYU Abu Dhabi. His area of expertise is in corporate identity and branding. His main interests are in the interactions of visual communications with policy-making processes. Prior to joining NYUAD in 2011, he worked in Italy, UK and France for international clients such as Axa, Louvre, Mars, NTT, Pirelli, Pyrex, Samick Music Corp.
The first faculty of Visual Design at NYUAD, he has designed courses on topics such as Cross-cultural design, Calligraphy and Type Design, Brand identity; two classes of his, one on Creativity–designed to be taught at NYU Florence–and one on Wayfinding, are part of the Core Curriculum of NYU Abu Dhabi.
Puccetti collaborates with R.Casati (Institut Nicod, Paris) on an upcoming book, Design Errands, 2020.
In 2016 he led a team of students of NYUAD on the top of the Burj Khalifa to film the first instructional time-lapse video of the building's shadow to show the earth rotation (project conceived by Roberto Casati). The project was shortlisted at the 2017 Dubai Grad Show.
Puccetti is Wolda World of Logo Award winner in 2017 and 2018.
A PSL-NYU Global Alliance Grant recipient 2018-2019.
He is the author of a bestseller book on Moto Guzzi published by Mondadori in 2007.
He is the co-author of the bilingual play The Acting Class/La Lezione di Teatro premiered at NYU Arts Center in October 2019 for the Italian Embassy to the UAE and he wrote the web series Campagne Letterarie, commissioned by the Italian Institute of Culture Abu Dhabi in 2020.
