Fadi Wahbeh holds an MFA in Documentary Production and Studies from the University of North Texas and a BA in Cinematic Arts with a concentration in Directing. He is a bilingual Arabic-English filmmaker and Assistant Professor of Film Practice whose work explores hybrid cinematic forms that merge fiction and nonfiction. His teaching includes producing for short films, advanced documentary production, docu-drama, and post-production as a narrative craft. Since 2016, he has served as Film Production Supervisor at NYU Abu Dhabi, mentoring senior capstone students and contributing to curriculum and program development for the Film and New Media program.

Wahbeh’s recent research focuses on the ethical integration of artificial intelligence in filmmaking, particularly in areas such as digital performance modeling, archival reconstruction, and voice replication. His creative practice is rooted in themes of migration, political memory, and oral history — particularly within Arab context- and often incorporates reenactments, personal archives, and experimental structures. He is currently completing a three-part documentary series scheduled for release in 2026 that investigates erased or reframed historical narratives through cinematic storytelling.

His short documentaries, developed in collaboration with emerging talents from the Arab region, have been selected by national and international film festivals. Wahbeh has also served as a jury member and guest participant at several film festivals and continues to maintain active ties across the regional media and film industry.
