At NYU Abu Dhabi’s Creative Writing Intensive, you will explore your voice, develop your ideas, and learn how to expand your craft as a writer. This selective, university-level program brings together motivated students for an immersive week of writing, feedback, and creative discovery.

Join a small, ambitious cohort of students for an intensive week of creative exploration and intellectual growth. Through hands-on workshops and guided practice, you will develop the skills to write with intention, crafting compelling narratives, exploring new forms and innovative expression, and building confidence in your creative voice.

From the foundations of lyrical structure to the challenges of narrative arrangement and character development, you will engage with both the theory and practice of writing that moves people. Gain the analytical edge and expressive power to take your ideas further.

Whether you are an aspiring writer or simply curious about the craft of writing, this program will challenge and inspire you.

All participants are minors, and the program strictly adheres to NYU’s Minors Protection Policy and UAE regulatory standards.

  • All staff, including faculty, teaching assistants, and program personnel, undergo security clearance and mandatory safeguarding training.
  • Students are under full supervision at all times during program hours.
  • A minimum 1-to-5 staff-to-student ratio ensures close oversight and support.
