Dear members of the NYUAD community,
I am thrilled to let you know that NYU Abu Dhabi has come to an agreement with the NYU Stern School of Business and our Abu Dhabi Government partners to launch Stern at NYUAD, a full-time MBA Program. A public announcement will be made this morning.
The arrival of Stern on our campus is a major milestone for NYUAD, as it will broaden our academic offerings and enable us to become yet stronger as an anchor institution of Abu Dhabi and the UAE, a dynamic financial and business hub at the crossroads between Africa, Asia, and Europe. This historic agreement is another step in our commitment to bring premier university programs to Abu Dhabi and prepare leaders of tomorrow for the UAE and the world.
The Stern at NYUAD MBA will represent the best of US business education in the MENA region. The full-year program will have academic modules in Abu Dhabi and New York, and is designed to build a talent pipeline of global problem solvers for companies here and in the many countries that have strong business relationships with the UAE.
When NYU and Abu Dhabi envisioned NYUAD more than fifteen years ago, it was always our goal to attract the best of NYU’s graduate professional programs to our campus once our undergraduate program would be established along with our first Master’s and PhD offerings. This moment has now come, and it is a powerful testament to the excellent and innovative institution all of us have created together. The program will further enhance the global prestige of NYUAD and NYU Stern.
I am very grateful to the many colleagues here, at NYU, and at NYU Stern, and to our Abu Dhabi partners, for many months of tireless collaboration that have led to a robust plan for Stern at NYUAD. There is a lot more work ahead as we prepare to welcome the program’s first cohort in January 2025, and we will share many more details in months to come. I am so grateful that we can count on all of you to support and facilitate the founding of this promising program.
Dean Raghu Sundaram of NYU Stern and I have appointed Robert Salomon, Professor of Management at Stern since 2005, as the inaugural Dean of Stern at NYUAD. Please join me in congratulating Rob and in welcoming him and his team to our community.
