In line with the vision of the Vice Chancellor, Human Resources ensures that NYU Abu Dhabi’s human capital strategies, programs, practices, and services foster and maintain an organizational culture, and enable NYU Abu Dhabi talent to maximize contribution and potential to allow NYUAD to meet its overall vision and mission. Through those strategies, programs, and services, Human Resources contributes to the creation of a unique employment value proposition for potential and current talent, that builds a strong global brand as an Employer of Choice.

In fulfilling the Vice Chancellor’s strategic intent, Human Resources ensures that the needs of the NYU Abu Dhabi leadership and community are fulfilled by means of planning, providing strategic counsel, and business partnerships with organizational leaders on people and organizational matters. As such, Human Resources is responsible for supporting the Vice Chancellor in shaping the institutional culture wherein the faculty, researchers, administrators, and staff are aligned, engaged, and conduct themselves in an optimal manner to support the vision and mission of NYU Abu Dhabi.

Rashed Al Nuaimi
Chief Human Resources Officer

Rashed Al Nuaimi has nearly thirty years of HR experience in numerous Abu Dhabi organizations. Most recently, Rashed was the Chief Human Capital Officer at the NAWAH Energy Company, which operates the first nuclear energy plant in the UAE and the Arab World. Prior to that, Rashed was a long-time executive at ADNOC LNG, where he served in various roles including Senior Vice President for Administration. In that role, he oversaw Human Resources, IT, the Communications Division, and served as the Secretary to the Board of Directors.

Rashed oversees the NYUAD HR team, inclusive of the following functional areas: Compensation, Benefits, PeopleLink, Learning and Organizational Development, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Immigration, HRBP, and Transformation.
