The Office of Finance is responsible for the centralized finance functions of the University. Its departments are essential to NYUAD’s financial management and ensure that resources are expertly stewarded, that financial policies are clear and consistently applied, and that faculty, staff, and students have access to funding needed to operate effectively and efficiently.
The Office of Budget and Financial Planning is responsible for managing the preparation and continuous monitoring of the university’s annual operating, research, endowment, and capital budgets in collaboration with various stakeholders. The team is engaged in the preparation of the management report, internal budget reports, and various financial analyses along with ad hoc feasibility studies for senior management. In addition, the team is involved in maintaining and supporting the university’s strategic long-term financial planning through refinement driven by strategic goals and objectives.
The team is responsible to ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported. The team ensures the preparation and fair presentation of the Financial Statements for the university in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in USA ( GAAP). This includes design, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls.
