New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Assistant Director, Executive Education Proposals & Content reporting to the Vice Provost, Executive & Professional Education.

The Assistant Director, Executive Education Proposals & Content plays a critical institutional role in translating NYU Abu Dhabi’s academic mission, strategic priorities, and market-facing ambitions into high-impact, decision-ready proposal narratives that enable the Office of Executive and Professional Education (OEPE) to operate at scale with academic integrity and brand distinction. Reporting to the Vice Provost of Executive and Professional Education, the role works with faculty, academic leadership, program design and marketing to ensure that proposals for OEPE executive education and new OEPE initiatives are consistently robust with curriculum documentation, governance-ready program materials, and client-responsive narratives. By establishing a unified narrative architecture across OEPE’s program verticals, the Assistant Director, Executive Education Proposals & Content strengthens institutional credibility, increases the percentage of executive custom program proposals and RFP responses converted into funded partnerships or contracts, accelerates program approvals, and enhances the university’s capacity to engage ministries, enterprises, families, and lifelong learners with confidence and consistency. As an internal editor and strategic synthesizer, the Assistant Director, Executive Education Proposals & Content enables senior leadership to make informed decisions and faculty to deliver to a variety of audiences with clarity and purpose.

Key Responsibilities: 

Program Ideation, Discovery & Proposal Development

  • Develop and refine client facing proposals and program narratives that articulate rationale, audience, learning outcomes, curriculum structure, delivery format, and value proposition across OEPE’s program verticals
  • Draft and edit required documentation for proposals, including program descriptions, concept notes, curriculum descriptions, course synopses, learning outcomes, competency frameworks, and assessment narratives
  • Collaborate with faculty and academic leadership to ensure clarity, coherence, and academic integrity in client facing proposals and all program materials
  • Support internal governance and approval workflows by incorporating feedback from academic committees, legal review, and senior leadership
  • Incorporate data to meet client and program proposal needs
  • Work collaboratively with clients, ministry staff, academic directors, and faculty during the ideation, discovery, and proposal development stages
  • Develop and write RFP response requirements, including capability priorities and formal proposal standards.

Academic & Program Narrative Development

  • Produce tailored written materials for executive custom programs, including proposals responding to RFPs and enterprise or ministry partners
  • Develop proposals across academic verticals that include documentation for programs, market rationale, curriculum progression, and employability outcomes
  • Support academic governance and approval workflows by preparing, revising, and quality-assuring proposal program documentation for committee review, legal and policy compliance, safeguarding standards when applicable, and senior leadership approval

Copy Editing, Editorial Quality & Brand Consistency

  • Serve as OEPE’s lead copy editor and editorial authority
  • Edit all OEPE assets including websites, brochures, handbooks, correspondence and governance documents to ensure consistency, professionalism, and decision-readiness
  • Create and maintain standardized templates, terminology, and reusable language across OEPE program types
  • Manage and track version control and coordinate revisions across multiple stakeholders and timelines throughout the approval process

Qualifications:

Required Education

  • Master's Degree in one of the following or a closely related field:
    • Higher Education Administration
    • Education Policy
    • Instructional Design / Learning Sciences
    • Communications or Strategic Communications
    • English, Rhetoric, or Writing

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience producing academic, programmatic, and/or professional education written materials (e.g., program proposals, curriculum documentation, course descriptions, learning outcomes, assessment narratives)
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with faculty and academic leadership to translate subject-matter expertise into clear, structured program documentation
  • Experience writing for multiple audiences
  • Track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, tight deadlines, and concurrent deliverables
  • Produce polished, structured, evidence-based academic documents with strong narrative logic and precision
  • Articulate learning outcomes, competencies, assessment strategies, and curriculum progression in clear, defensible language
  • Write within institutional policy frameworks, incorporate committee feedback, and maintain documentation integrity and audit readiness
  • Reconcile inputs from faculty, instructional design, marketing, admissions, legal/risk, and leadership into a single coherent narrative
  • Interpret market inputs, client needs, and institutional strategy to shape program rationale, differentiation, and value proposition
  • Manage multiple drafts, approvals, and deadlines using disciplined version control and documentation workflows
  • Handle sensitive internal materials, draft decision memos, and support leadership-level initiatives with discretion

Preferred Education

  • Doctoral Degree
  • Certificate in Instructional Design or Learning Experience Design
  • Certificate in Writing or technical communication
  • Project Management Certificate

Preferred Experience

  • Structure persuasive proposals for enterprise/ministry clients, including outcomes frameworks, impact measures, and implementation narratives
  • Write evaluation plans and success metrics (KPIs), including learner outcomes, organizational impact, and quality assurance indicators
  • Adapt program and proposal narratives into web-ready copy, collateral, pitch decks, FAQs, and email campaigns
  • Produce clear, inclusive, learner-centered writing and apply accessibility-aware content practices
  • Align program documentation with UAE and Abu Dhabi accreditation expectations as applicable
  • Tailor messaging for UAE and GCC stakeholders and diverse audiences
