New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Senior Manager, Operations & Finance reporting to the Vice Provost, Executive & Professional Education.

Under the direction of the Vice Provost of Executive Education, the Senior Manager, Operations & Finance, Office of Executive Education, oversees financial planning, budgeting, pricing model development, and the operational functions of the Office of Executive Education (OEE) and each of its program verticals.

The role supports the effective delivery of high-profile Executive Education programs and ensures strong financial integrity and operational efficiency. The Senior Manager serves as the central point of coordination for finance and administration, liaising with stakeholders across NYU Abu Dhabi, NYU New York, external partners, and clients.

The role also provides guidance and supervision to student assistants and temporary hires and will oversee the Administrative Coordinator once onboarded. The position requires independent judgment, strong initiative, and the ability to manage complex tasks with limited direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Lead the development, enhancement, and ongoing refinement of comprehensive pricing models for proposed and existing programs, ensuring accurate costings, margin analysis, and financial viability
  • Utilize clear pricing models to create all commercial proposals
  • Audit financial documentation, approve expenditures, process disbursements, and ensure accurate reporting
  • Oversee invoicing activities by issuing through finance, verifying, tracking, and reconciling invoicing and payments with clients and internal departments.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, spreadsheets, databases, and reimbursement files
  • Conduct financial analyses and prepare regular reports and dashboards for senior leadership
  • Develop, plan, and monitor annual departmental budgets and multi-program financial forecasts
  • Conduct financial analysis for Executive Education offerings, including preparation of profit/loss/ revenue projections, and program-level profitability reports
  • Vendor management and procurement processes and documentation

Operations Management:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for administrative and operational matters, supporting the Director in coordinating and resolving process challenges with procurement, legal, compliance, finance, and other partner units
  • Manage office operations and administrative workflows, and departmental systems to ensure compliance, efficiency, and service quality
  • Design departmental reporting metrics and develop the Executive Education dashboard; analyze operational data to identify opportunities, bottlenecks, and improvements
  • Develop and manage a proposal and project-tracking framework to support operational planning and workflow visibility
  • Ensure confidentiality and uphold high standards of professional discretion across all operational activities

Administration Management:

  • Oversee the work of the Administrative Coordinator (and onboard once hiring completed) to ensure effective delivery of administrative and program support activities
  • Coordinate hiring documentation, onboarding workflows, and HR processes for new hires and student staff, ensuring compliance and timely completion
  • Oversee complex international travel arrangements, strategic calendar planning, and high-level event logistics
  • Supervise and train student workers and temporary staff, delegating tasks and monitoring performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support effective program implementation and client satisfaction
  • Establish service standards for internal and external communications, response protocols, and escalation pathways for inquiries and issues

Communications:

  • Support the Vice Provost in representing Executive Education and new initiatives to internal and external partners through clear and effective communication
  • Prepare or oversee the development of presentations, reports, and key materials for senior leadership and internal audiences
  • Prepare or oversee the creation of communication materials to highlight Executive Education initiatives and achievements
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Required Experience:

  • More than 5 years of related experience with a strong desire to be in learning and development
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work and multi-task, and manage last-minute needs and changes gracefully
  • Demonstrated excellent project management skills
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Preferred Experience:

  • More than 2 years of experience in finance and costing
  • Experience within NYUAD preferred
  • More than 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Preferred knowledge of NYUAD
