New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Digital Marketing Assistant reporting to the Head of CGSB Research Management and Outreach.

The Digital Marketing Assistant will contribute to existing marketing programs while developing new initiatives aligned with the center and its goals. In addition to creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, photos, and videos, the candidate will assist in content creation for CGSB social media and promotional materials in Arabic and English. Furthermore, this position will be responsible for creating a comprehensive marketing plan to guide the center's marketing efforts. The Digital Marketing Assistant is expected to handle various tasks, including print advertising, website updating, and other projects, to effectively execute the marketing plan and achieve organizational objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

Marketing

  • Designing and creating graphic elements such as logos, digital ads, and promotional materials
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Monitoring and analyzing the performance of digital marketing efforts across various channels, and providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Supporting email marketing efforts by creating and designing newsletters, campaigns, and automated workflows
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure brand consistency and alignment with marketing goals
  • Contributing to the development of marketing reports and presentations for stakeholders
  • Adhering to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards for all digital marketing projects
  • Continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement in digital marketing strategies and tactics

Content Creation

  • Create visual assets including but is not limited to prints, social channels, emails, websites, digital ads/promo, and data visualization
  • Produce multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and written content
  • Keeping and maintain the center electronic content, including photographs, videos, and podcasts
  • Providing administrative support, such as organizing files, scheduling meetings, and maintaining documentation

Managing Social Media and Website updates

  • Managing social media accounts by creating and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring trends
  • Assisting in the creation and optimization of website content, including landing pages, blog posts, and product descriptions
  • Conducting keyword research and optimization to improve search engine rankings and visibility

Events

  • Assisting with the coordination of online events, webinars, and virtual conferences
  • Assist in the Center’s outreach activities and Events, such as the annual CGSB Conference, Fikret Science Café, and other seminars and workshops

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field

Required Experience:

  • 1+ years Previous experience as a digital marketing coordinator or graphical designer

  • Experience using social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google+

  • Experience in using relevant software applications such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Dreamweaver, Captivate, Final Cut Pro or Premier

  • Experience using Adobe Audition, and Experience Manager

  • Experience in developing and managing electronic content, including photographs, videos, and podcasts

  • Strong command of written Arabic and English
  • Results-oriented while ensuring high quality of work
  • Effective time management skills and consistency in meeting deadlines
  • Good Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
  • Advance level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing

Preferred Education:

  • Training or coursework in graphic design, multimedia production, video editing, or other relevant skills
