New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an HR Assistant reporting to HR Services Manager.
The HR Assitant will serve as an NYUAD employee’s point of contact for Human Resources through the NYUAD PeopleLink contact center. The HR Assistant is responsible for providing assistance and resolving inquiries and issues related to HR services including employee benefits and leave administration, mobility, immigration, recruitment, compensation, employee data, help with the PeopleSync/Workday employee information system and other defined inquiry categories. Inquiries come from walk-ins, email and telephone calls. The HR Assistant uses various HR systems in performing work providing administrative services to fulfill requests, and track, monitor and report on assistance and inquiry activities through the PeopleLink service system. The HR Assistant coordinates with other members of the PeopleLink team and escalates inquiries or issues to functional specialists when additional research or input is required. Responsible for administration of housing advances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend in person inquiries in the Service Center for PeopleLink desk, giving information and knowledge as per their inquiry Answer phone calls for Peoplelink inquiries
- Prepare and maintain the housing advance process and files within the agreed SLAs
- Create tickets for in person inquiries and assign them to HR Manager who’s responsible for the scope of the inquiry
- Send reminder follow ups and initiate calls to HR Manager for exciting tickets once an employee comes to the PeopleLink desk and ask for follow ups, ensuring that they get the required update
- Working on any tickets pertaining to letter requests, bank account changes, or salary transfers in HR workspace
- Collect and follow up on the offboarding checklist as per the tracker, updating the employees by mail, and ensuring that they submit the completed checklist
- Maintaining contracts with different departments for information and solutions required to ensure the completion of the offboarding checklist for an employee
Assist with Onboarding and Offboarding inquiries
- Compile the checklist and save it to the drive allocated for the offboarding
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in an administrative, finance, or human resources role requiring the use of electronic/online systems
Excellent customer service with ability to resolve conflict
Excellent interpersonal skills
Effective oral communication
Ability to define problems, assess urgency, and handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Detail oriented producing reliable and accurate work
Self-starter with ability to prioritize workload
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
