New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Pre-Award Coordinator reporting to the Director, Pre-Award and Research Development.

The Pre-Award Coordinator will play a key role within the Pre-Award Office by supporting with the general operation of all pre-award administration matters, including supporting Faculty on proposal development and submission for externally funded research grants and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate sponsored research activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist NYUAD Faculty with proposal submissions, including RFP review, budget development, and proposal review for compliance
  • Facilitate and support research collaboration and general sponsored research activity through working with the various offices supporting sponsored research activity, both at NYUAD and NYU-NY, including faculty, Post-Award Research Administration, Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) Research Translation, General Counsel, and assigned departments/divisions within the university
  • Ensure the sponsored research data management system is up to date and complete, keeping detailed copies of electronic and paper records, as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s Degree

Required Experience:

  • One or more years of experience in an academic setting
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to operate in a busy environment
  • Must be able to meet required deadlines

Preferred Experience:

  • One or more years of experience in sponsored programs, finance or legal
