New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to appoint a Manager, Data and Reporting - Stern at NYUAD reporting to the Director of Career Management Center (CMC) for Stern at NYUAD. 

The Manager of Data and Reporting will play a critical role in supporting the Stern at NYUAD’s employment outcomes reporting and ongoing student/employer data analysis efforts. The Manager will work collaboratively with CMC staff and other relevant faculty and staff of Stern at NYUAD to refine and implement a comprehensive assessment and reporting strategy to inform and improve the quality and effectiveness of the CMC's services and resources.

The Manager will be responsible for gathering, cleaning, and analyzing data; conducting necessary background research and benchmarking to generate reports that effectively communicate both student outcomes, as well as the CMC's successes and services. The Manager will work with large sets of qualitative and quantitative data skills to identify trends, generate insights, and develop recommendations that inform decision-making.

They will also curate and develop reports for internal and external stakeholders.

The Manager will serve as a valuable resource to both student-facing and employer-facing teams of the Career Management Center and, when necessary, to the admissions, programs, and alumni teams, providing guidance and support on data analysis and collection to assist in data-informed decision making. They will also provide training and support to student-facing staff of Stern at NYUAD on best practices for data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of the Career Management Center, the Manager will also oversee daily management of the Center’s career management system (Career Connect) including managing logistics, reviewing processes, and providing relevant operational communication to students.

Key Responsibilities: 

Key Reports

  • Produce an annual report on student/alumni employment outcomes in accordance with Career Services and Employer Alliance (CSEA ) reporting standards or any other select associations, for submission to CSEA and/or relevant organizations
  • Prepare internal factsheets/reports on student/alumni/employer engagements to regularly (monthly/quarterly/annually) assess the engagement of students/alumni with CMC programs and evaluate the impact of CMC programs and services throughout the academic year 

Data Management, Analysis, and Operations

  • Manage and coordinate the data/content presented on the careers landing page on the public website and internal websites
  • Plan, organize and execute data collection campaigns for reports. This includes utilizing various methods such as tabling, data scraping, phone campaigns, WhatsApp campaigns, and email campaigns to gather necessary data from students, alumni, and employers. The Manager will also monitor the progress of the campaigns and make adjustments as needed to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data
  • For the purpose of gaining insights and improving overall effectiveness of CMC programs and services delivered, develop and manage surveys to aid in program and service assessment. This includes creating key surveys such as, employer surveys, SIP-relevant surveys, and career event surveys, as well as maintaining their effectiveness over time
  • Under the guidance/approval of the line manager, generate ad hoc data and research initiatives, including analyzing data and benchmarking information and streamlining it into comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Address and resolve any technical student/employer issues related to CMC’s career management service platform - Career Connect
  • Provide training and support to CMC staff on data skills, data management, and effective usage of reporting dashboards

Required Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with data analysis and report writing
  • Proficiency in using data analysis software such as MS Excel
  • Experience managing projects with a significant number of stakeholders
  • Experience working collaboratively with a team and building consensus
  • Experience in managing projects, including logistics, reviewing processes, and providing project-focused communication to stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Attentive to detail, organized
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Strong capacity to work collaboratively
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Preferred Experience: 

  • Strong background and experience in data analysis, research methodologies, and statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in using analytical tools and software to analyze and interpret complex data sets
  • Knowledge of data visualization techniques and experience creating reports and presentations that effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders using software like Tableau
  • Experience with research and benchmarking techniques to inform decision-making and support organizational goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate data insights and recommendations to stakeholders and colleagues
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders, and to manage projects independently
  • Experience in overseeing and managing programs or projects, including logistics, review processes, and communication with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of CSEA Standards and experience with MBA data collection
  • Experience with handling data in talent recruitment / search firms
