Aditi Singh is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). Previously, she earned her PhD in Economics from the Vancouver School of Economics, University of British Columbia, in 2025, following an MA in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. She is an applied microeconomist specializing in the intersection of development economics, economic history, agriculture economics, and political economy.
Her research focuses on topics of health, gender, and caste dynamics. Her recent working paper explores how agricultural changes have influenced nutritional accessibility and health in India. Her other projects investigate whether forced sterilization programs targeting men can lead to male-perpetrated violence, and if minority representation in a state's legislative body improves the financial access of minorities.
