Nikhil Rangarajan is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, UAE. His research interests include spintronics, nanoelectronics, device physics, and hardware security. His current work aims to explore the security implications of non-conventional computing paradigms borne out of emerging devices.
Dr. Rangarajan has Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from New York University, NY, USA. Prior to his graduate studies, he completed his B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology Tiruchirapalli, India.

Current Research
Postdoctoral Associate from January 2020-Present at the Design-for-Excellence Lab, Division of Engineering, NYUAD Abu Dhabi, UAE. My current work includes: (1) Exploring the hardware security implications of emerging devices and novel materials, including spintronics devices, magnetoelectric materials, carbon-based electronics, etc. (2) Investigating the security vulnerabilities and potential in new computing paradigms like neuromorphic computing and quantum computing. (3) Augmenting established camouflaging and locking techniques using emerging devices.
