Muzamil Khatri currently serves as an Associate Research Scientist at the Water Research Center, New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), UAE. His research focuses on transforming recycled materials into high-performance functional membranes for water treatment through circular economy and green manufacturing approaches.
He received his PhD from Shinshu University, Japan, in 2021 through the prestigious MEXT-initiated Advanced Global Leadership Program in Fiber Renaissance, receiving the Best Achievement Award for outstanding academic and research contributions. He subsequently worked as a Researcher on a New Energy and Industrial Development Organization (NEDO), Japan.
Khatri's expertise spans sustainable membranes technologies, electrospinning, recycled plastic-based functional materials, membrane distillation, wastewater treatment, and resource recovery. His work combines advanced materials science with practical engineering solutions, supported by international research experience, high-impact publications, patented technologies, teaching, and student mentorship.
