Yousra Ajouaou

Postdoctoral Associate Affiliation: NYU Abu Dhabi
Education: PhD Université Libre de Bruxelles

Research Areas: Epigenetic; regeneration; Liver; ageing

Yousra started her educational journey with a technical Bachelor in Biomedical sciences in Brussels. She pursued a Master in Molecular Biology at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). During her Master, she integrated the University College of London to work on inflammatory bowel diseases.

She then performed her Ph.D. and a Postdoc at the Center for Research in Immunology (ULB), where she studied the role of hypoxia on immune response regulation. During her PhD., she joined the Luxembourg Institute of Health as a visiting Researcher to develop her knowledge of bioinformatics analyses.

Throughout her studies, Yousra enjoys working on transversal end-to-end projects involving technics, biostatistics, and fundamental research. Yousra joined NYUAD in September 2022 as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Sadler Edepli lab.
