Jie Liu is a Postdoctoral Associate in the research group of Tej-Eddine Ghoul, Associate Professor of Mathematics, Science Division, NYUAD. He obtained a Doctoral degree from Fudan University in 2023 and a Bachelor's degree from Fudan University in 2018.
His research area is PDE (Partial Differential Equations) which arises in Physics, in particular fluid and dispersive wave equations. More specifically he is interested in the long time behavior and singularity formation of the solutions.
His current research mainly focuses on blow-up dynamics of Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations to obtain a qualitative description of singularity formation of the solutions and the stability of these dynamics.
Research
Instability of dynamics flows and their transition to turbulence are widespread phenomena in engineering, computer science, geophysics, biophysics, and the natural environment. The Center will develop novel enabling technology to deal with this phenomena.
