Xiangyu Wang is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Advanced Materials and Building Efficiency Research Laboratory (AMBER Lab) at the Division of Engineering at New York University, Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining the AMBER lab, He received his PhD in Civil Engineering from New York University Tandon School of Engineering. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Xiamen University in 2015 and his MSc from Wuhan University in 2018.

His current research interest covers bacteria-based self-healing concrete, and low-carbon cement with its applications in 3D concrete printing. During his master's study, Wang's research topic focused on vibration-based structural health monitoring utilizing FEM modeling and the Bayesian approach.
