Amatov CatalySIS Lab - Catalytic Sustainable Innovative Synthesis

Research in the Amatov CatalySIS Lab aims to develop chemistry that is not only conceptually interesting and fundamentally novel but also offers robust solutions for sustainable synthesis.

Toward these goals, the lab focuses on developing new synthetic methods and catalytic processes using redox-active organic molecules that simultaneously mimic transition metals, photoredox catalysts, and even enzymes in useful transformations.

The lab is particularly interested in designing and using persistent organic radicals as redox-active catalytic platforms to develop new concepts and green synthetic methods.

Driven foremost by curiosity, the lab is also interested in contributing to long-standing challenges in natural product synthesis, as well as developing molecular technologies that enable the study of biological processes.
