Farah Benyettou

Research Scientist Affiliation: NYU Abu Dhabi

Farah Benyettou earned her Bachelor's degrees in two areas from the University Paris in 2005 - a BSc in Physical Chemistry: Structure of Biomolecules, Honors, University Paris 13, 2005 and a B.Sc. in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), University Paris 13, 2005. Farah was awarded her Master of Science in Chemistry and Physical Chemistry, Honors, University Paris 13, 2007 and went on to complete her PhD in Chemistry, Honors, University Paris 13, 2010.

Farah's PhD was at the interface of chemistry, physics and biology. Her doctorate developed new and innovative anticancer superparamagnetic nanoparticles for drug delivery from the synthesis, to the characterizations and the biological evaluations.

In postdoctoral studies Farah has explored the synthesis and surface modification of new Porous Nanoparticles (Metal-Organic Frameworks) as new drug carriers.

In 2012, Farah joined the Trabolsi Group at NYU Abu Dhabi. Her current research approach at NYUAD is to use complementary properties such as porosity and magnetism, and develop new multifunctional and smart nanoplatforms for simultaneous imaging and therapy.
