NMR Group

Headed by Rino Esposito, the research activity of the NMR Group of NYUAD has focused on the application of high-resolution NMR methods to proteins. This research activity is still pursued through collaborations with other NYUAD groups. Since November 2021, the main commitment of the NMR Group has been the metabolomic investigation program of the Piano Lab.

NMR Group

The main projects are:

  • NMR metabolomics of C. elegans (Caenorhabditis elegans)
  • HR-MAS NMR in vivo metabolomics of C. elegans
  • Nanobodies: structural aspects and functional applications
  • NMR studies of p53 DNA-binding domain
  • Amyloidogenic protein interactors
  • PENELOP
  • BLUU-Tramp

Since 2023, the NMR group's activity has been complemented by mass spectrometry (MS) activity. A further research project has been added:

  • MS metabolomics of C. elegans
