Alberto Maria Chierici

Alberto is a scientist and entrepreneur, he co-founded multi-awarded InsurTech Spixii, and he is earning a Ph.D. in CS at NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
Alberto has a breath of experiences in different disciplines. He started his education at the faculty of Physics of Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy, where he earned a BSc with a dissertation on the orientation of short DNA molecules exposed to strong magnetic fields. He then took an MSc in Statistics at the Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca, graduating with a dissertation on modeling distributions of insurance claims using the Extreme Values Theory.
Alberto started his professional career working in the insurance London market working as an actuary, where he used to build statistical models for pricing commercial insurance products. He then self-thought himself Machine Learning and how to build AI systems exploiting open data sources while incubating an internal A.I. project at the Deloitte UK's Consulting Incubator. Alberto then jumped into entrepreneurship by co-founding Spixii, an AI-based InsuTech company that specializes in conversational interfaces for insurance. He now relocated to Abu Dhabi with his family, dedicated to research the fields of conversational AI and NLP as a Ph.D. candidate at NYU.
