How NYU Abu Dhabi is Boosting Economic Growth in a Poor, Rural Town in Ghana

"It's our belief that if you're going to be working on economic development, you should go to the places where people live that you're studying"

Every summer, students from around the NYU global network campuses head to Kumawu, a small town in Ghana, for an internship where they work with the local population and develop apps to help improve their lives and livelihoods. The internship is organized by the Center for Technology and Economic Development headquartered at NYU Abu Dhabi.
