On Sunday, May 24, roughly 1,300 people gathered at NYU Abu Dhabi to celebrate the Commencement of the Class of 2015. It was a day of excitement and emotion for 141 graduates and their loved ones who came to Abu Dhabi from all over the world.
The ceremony was filled with many memorable moments from the pre-ceremonial gathering to the tossing of the grad caps. These are just some of the highlights:
Words of wisdom
From distinguished guest speaker His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development: "In seeking to be wise, you must be change-makers, willing to take risks, to be different."
Kimi's Speech
When she said, "We will always be a little jetlagged." Truly a unique, shared experience among NYUAD students. Kimberly Rodriguez was chosen as a student speaker for the ceremony.
