NYU Abu Dhabi’s open campus design provides a range of outdoor spaces suitable for recreational events and public festivals. Events hosted include:

• Special Olympics
• UAE National Day

Outdoor Plazas

The Central, East, and West Plazas are vibrant spaces that welcome visitors to NYUAD, acting as the main hubs of outdoor activity. Boasting towering palm trees and convenient seating, the plazas hosts numerous artistic performances, school celebrations, festivals, and informal meals.

Outdoor Amphitheater

With its raised oval stage and semi-circular bench seating, the Amphitheater is ideal for intimate outdoor events and gatherings. The venue can be activated with full AV support to cater to movie screenings or live performances.

Seating: 200-seat capacity

Light Wells

The light wells are large outdoor spaces located at the heart of each of the university’s main academic buildings. The layout can be tailored to include an array of seating arrangements, and used to host events such as team building activities and business luncheons.
