Message from the Dean of Students

Greetings!

On behalf of our entire community, welcome to NYU Abu Dhabi! Here at NYUAD, our students join a truly global community, see the world with new eyes, extend their comfort zone, and use the knowledge, network and resources of NYU to make a difference that extends beyond themselves. This site is an important resource for students as they transition to university life. You will find details about new student orientation as well as services, activities, and opportunities that will help you make the most of your time at NYU Abu Dhabi.

In the division of Campus Life, we strive to support and challenge our students as they develop into scholarly and well-informed student-citizens who are critical thinkers, culturally competent, and mindful of their civic responsibilities as future global leaders. We do this through services, programs, and opportunities in the following areas:

  • orientation and first-year programming
  • athletics and recreation
  • career development
  • health and counseling services
  • residential education
  • intercultural education and spiritual life
  • student life (leadership development, student clubs, and community service)
  • fitness and wellness
NYUAD's new Falcon mascot meets with Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Kyle Farley.

The one of a kind university experience developed at NYU Abu Dhabi is profoundly valuable. Our students engage across vast differences, develop their own conferences, learn experientially about Abu Dhabi and the region, intern with cutting edge organizations, and compete on the pitch in the Abu Dhabi Inter-university Sports League.

After four years here our students are poised to follow their personal, scholarly, and professional passions. They earn places in prestigious graduate programs, secure employment at some of the world’s top businesses and institutions, and are well prepared to be forces for a more just and peaceful world.

Sincerely
Kyle Farley
Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, and Dean of Students
