Required Verification for Institutional Scholarship Consideration

Verification is a standard review process used to ensure the accuracy of your financial aid application, which involves submitting additional documents to confirm the information provided. It is important to respond promptly to any requests from NYU so your financial aid can be finalized without delay.

Verification Documents Required for the Fall 2026/ Spring 2027 CSS PROFILE

For Non-US Income Earners

You need to submit the following:

  1. NYU CSS Profile Verification Cover Page (PDF 125 KB)
  2. NYU Foreign Tax Filer Form (PDF 184 KB)
  3. If taxes were filed in your home country, 2024 Tax Year Foreign Tax Return (translated into English)

    If you/your parent(s) were not required to file a tax return in your home country, we will accept the following:

    A letter from your parents' employer that is signed and on company letterhead, confirming the gross annual income, OR a copy of your parents' 2024 salary certificate/monthly pay statements from January 1, 2024–December 31, 2024. Attach an itemized statement of any benefits/living allowances or retirement benefits received in 2024.

For US Tax Filers

You need to submit the following:

  1. NYU CSS Profile Verification Cover Page  (PDF 125 KB)
  2. 2024 1040 Federal Tax Return (signed)*
  3. All 2024 Federal Tax Schedules that were filed (1, 2, 3, A, B, C, D, E, F)
  4. Copies of all 2024 W-2s and/or 1099s

*Note: If your parent did not work but filed taxes (for property/rent, business, etc), a signed copy of the 1040 Federal Tax Return for 2024 is still required.

Changes in Income from 2024 to 2025

If there have been substantial changes to your family’s financial situation (i.e., recent job loss), you should notify the NYUAD Office of Financial Aid at nyuad.financial.support@nyu.edu.  Please be prepared to provide supporting documentation for the change in circumstance, and income documentation for January 1, 2025–October 31, 2025, will also be required.
