Do I need prior coding or robotics experience?
No. While prior experience is helpful, the program is designed for students with strong interest and motivation, including beginners.
Is this a residential program?
We can't wait to see you on campus! Just a reminder that this is a commuter program, so students will attend their sessions during the day and return home afterward.
What will students gain from the program?
Students will complete a robotics project, gain foundational engineering knowledge, and experience a university-level academic environment.
How competitive is admission?
Admission is selective and based on academic readiness, motivation, and demonstrated interest.
What is the class size?
The class size is small and maybe limited to 20-25 students for more personalized instruction. In addition to the instructor, there are also highly qualified NYUAD Teaching Assistants,
How does NYU Abu Dhabi ensure student safety and supervision?
The safety and well-being of all participants is a top priority.
All participants are minors, and the program strictly adheres to NYU’s Minors Protection Policy and UAE regulatory standards.
- All staff, including faculty, teaching assistants, and program personnel, undergo security clearance and mandatory safeguarding training
- Students are under full supervision at all times during program hours
- A minimum 1 to 5 staff-to-student ratio ensures close oversight and support
