Aisha Al Naqbi, Senior Dean of Students, serves on the University Leadership Team and oversees the following departments: Student Persistence and Well-being, Residential Life, and Community Values and Conflict Transformation.

Prior to her appointment as the Senior Dean of Students, she has led DEI initiatives focused on student accessibility and persistence, including as our campus liaison to NYU’s Moses Center for Students Accessibility. She has been an advising dean to NYUAD students, created the Domestic Student Advisory Board, and serves as the primary liaison for domestic parents. Additionally, Aisha is a recognized national leader in higher education, playing a crucial role in connecting NYUAD with federal universities and government partners.

Before joining NYUAD, Aisha served in a role equivalent to Dean of Students at Khalifa University and as the Director of Student and Career Services at her alma mater, Ras Al Khaimah Higher Colleges of Technology, where she finished her undergraduate studies in Computer Engineering. She obtained a second Bachelor's degree in Career Advising and counseling. Aisha earned a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Management from Birmingham University, UK, with a focus on identity formation and relational leadership, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Zayed University.
