Research and Research Institute

NYU Abu Dhabi is a world-class research university that aims to foster quality research, scholarship, and creative activity that engages critical 21st century challenges resulting in fundamental advances, new discoveries, technological developments, and innovative solutions.

The Office of Research provides key administrative and infrastructural support to NYUAD faculty and researchers. It enables current research activity with shared research facilities, operations and high performance computing. It grows research through pre-award support for faculty in seeking and securing external grants. And it fosters research collaboration, impact, and capacity building through research outreach and the Kawader program.

The NYUAD Research Institute offers substantial and sustained funding to support large, multi-year centers and labs that address questions of global and national (UAE) significance, and is the organizational and administrative structure for new and existing research centers. Funding opportunities are offered to leading faculty members and researchers from across disciplines to carry out creative scholarship and high-level research on a range of complex issues with a depth, scale, and longevity that otherwise would not be possible.
