Students

With 2100+ undergraduate students, 115+ graduate students, and 125+ countries represented, the student body at NYUAD is truly a diverse one. The Division of Student Affairs provides students with support and opportunities within their curricular learning and personal experiences and is home to SLICECT (Spiritual Life, Intercultural Education, and Conflict Transformation), which runs programs that promote intercultural education, inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity and access/accessibility (IDBEA) as well as spirituality and mindfulness. The Office of Inclusion and Equity (OIE) collaborates regularly with SLICECT on awareness and education programming to ensure alignment with the institutional IDBEA strategy.

NYU Abu Dhabi Students
  1. Work with the Dean of Students to ensure synergy for IDBEA strategy
  2. Work closely with SLICECT to ensure alignment with intercultural education, conflict mediation, and overarching institutional IDBEA strategy
  3. Work with the Student Persistence and Accessibility team to ensure student accommodations are provided 
  4. Work closely with Residential Education to ensure that a safe space is created in student accommodation with respect to values of IDBEA 
  5. Provide consultation and support to Student Interest Groups 
  6. Provide speaker series and follow up conversations which are accessible to students
