Pillars of Our Work

The Office of Global Access and Engagement promotes institutional excellence by advancing access, engagement, and belonging across all areas of NYU Abu Dhabi. The University is committed to fostering a learning and working environment where all members of the community can contribute meaningfully, feel valued, and thrive in a culture of respect, collaboration, and belonging.

Our four strategic focus areas drive institutional transformation, ensuring that access and engagement are embedded not just in policy, but in the daily lived experience of every student, staff, and faculty member.

Accessibility

Disability inclusive culture is a longstanding priority centered around the creation of a more welcoming infrastructure for People of Determination on our campus. We engage with and build relationships across campus and externally to ensure a holistic approach to inclusion whereby all community members have equal opportunity to participate and thrive at NYU Abu Dhabi.

Community Building

By designing community-targeted programs, the Office of Global Access and Engagement fosters and cultivates a campus culture rooted in community and connection that reflects the shared vision of mutual respect and building a globally and locally engaged community.

Conflict Transformation

Conflict Transformation is a dynamic and innovative pillar designed to equip community members with the necessary skills and knowledge to address and resolve conflicts in a constructive and sustainable manner. We seek to increase the NYU Abu Dhabi community members’ conflict competence to increase organizational capacity for preventative and proactive conflict transformation.

Capacity Building

Through versatile modalities, including but not limited to small and large-scale educational offerings, we develop and drive internal intellectual transformations. We cultivate critical mindsets and enhance practical skills that foster inclusion and help individuals thrive and contribute meaningfully in a global learning and working environment.
