Yanwen Wang is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at New York University Abu Dhabi. He received his PhD in Sociology from the National University of Singapore in 2025.
Wang's research lies in the areas of stratification, demography, and well-being. He is interested in documenting and explaining trends in family formation and reproduction in Asia, and in exploring how, amidst structural and ideational shifts, individuals and their family members subjectively experience social mobility and stratification. His work has appeared in journals such as Research in Social Stratification and Mobility, Advances in Life Course Research, Family Relations, and Journals of Family and Economic Issues.
