Jade Taylor is a Postdoctoral Associate and Laboratory Manager at the Burt Marine Biology Lab. She earned her MRes and PhD in cardiovascular sciences at The University of Manchester, UK, where her dissertation focused on how cerebral vascular ion channels become dysfunctional in different dementias. She was then awarded an American Heart Association-funded Postdoctoral Fellowship to continue her research in Davis, California.
Taylor is using her expertise in cardiovascular physiology to help understand how certain species of fish in the UAE are able to survive in such brutally warm summers. Critically, this information could help us to protect further fish species across the world when facing climate change.
