Israa Mahgoub is a Research Associate in the Humanities Research Fellowships for the Study of the Arab World at New York University Abu Dhabi. She works primarily with the Family Business Histories project, where her research aims to understand the multi-faceted impact of family-owned businesses on the MENASA region’s economy, society, and culture. Currently, she is working on a series of articles that aim to explore the unwritten stories of regional family businesses. Israa is also the Book Review and Social Media Editor for the “Global Sixties: An Interdisciplinary Journal”.

Israa completed her undergraduate degree in Urban Planning, after which she pursued a Master’s degree in Social Research: Consulting, Survey, and Evaluation at Paris-Sorbonne University.
