The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)’s World Investment Forum (WIF), the pre-eminent global platform for investment and development, has partnered with the DevLab at NYUAD to develop the Academic Track sessions for the forum’s 7th edition under the theme “Investing in Sustainable Recovery.” The 7th WIF forum was to take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is co-hosted by the UAE Ministry of Economy, the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), and NYUAD. All events are virtual.
The forum brings together 5,000 public and private investment stakeholders from 160 countries, including Heads of State, global CEOs, heads of international organizations and civil society. The forum devises strategies and solutions for global investment and development challenges. It facilitates multi-stakeholder collective action to stimulate investment in development. The forum offers a unique opportunity to influence investment-related policymaking, shape the global investment environment, and to network with global leaders in business and politics.
