Yuki Tamura is a microeconomist. Her research deals primarily with the assignment of resources. She approaches the construction of desirable procedures from both the normative and the strategic perspectives. She has in particular considered resource allocation and reallocation problems under a variety of domain restrictions. Tamura has also contributed to the normative literature on the adjudication of conflicting claims and to the literature on coalition formation. In each case, her ultimate goal has been to provide policymakers detailed menus of procedures to choose from.
