Moritz is a behavioral economist interested in organizational economics. In his research, he uses game theory to derive predictions on individuals’ and collective behavior and tests these predictions in controlled laboratory experiments. Hereby he focuses on behavioral biases that lead to systematic deviations between theory and behavior.

Moritz has published work on efficient delegation mechanisms and on optimal informational design in investor-entrepreneur relationships.
