Bisan Samara

Bisan is a research assistant in the Advance Microfluidics and Microdevices Laboratory (AMMLab) at NYU Abu Dhabi. Her research focuses on developing three-dimensional cell culture platforms, and methods to detect cancer cells in bodily fluids. Prior joining AMMLab, Bisan worked on developing a proprietary in vitro biomimetic model of the human lymph node (Khalifa University, Biomedical Engineering Department), she also worked on constructing a database for rare genetic variations associated with the Autism Spectrum (Mohammad Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, College of Medicine). Bisan obtained her B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering (high honors) from Khalifa University in 2017.
