Dr. Ejaz Ahmed was born in Pakistan. He earned his Master’s degree in chemistry from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad in 2006. He joined Technische Universität Dresden, Germany in 2007 and received his PhD under the supervision of Professor Michael Ruck in 2011, where he worked on the synthesis of semiconducting metal clusters and polycations from ionic liquids. He was a postdoc at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) from 2012 to 2015. His previous research was focused on the synthesis and characterization of crystalline and porous amorphous materials for gases and hydrocarbons adsorption, storage and separation. In Naumov’s lab, he works on the development of new methods to study solid-state phenomena.
