This October through November, NYUAD Civic Engagement and Service is relaunching its Youth Leadership Network — formerly known as Girls’ Education Network (GEN) and Boys’ Education Network (BEN).

The Youth Leadership Network is a leadership development program for high school students in Abu Dhabi. Through weekly workshops, both programs work to help girls and boys gain technical and soft skills to engage, grow, and lead. This year's program will specifically focus on leadership and cultural preservation.
The Youth Leadership Network functions on a peer-to-peer workshop model, addressing practices such as self-awareness, critical thinking, habit-building, teamwork, and project learning. NYUAD students serve as mentors to create an inclusive, supportive space that enables dialogue and growth, contributing to greater confidence and self-esteem.
This free, in-person program is open to boys and girls in grades 9-12 (years 10-13). The program will run from October 25 to November 29 and consists of five workshops taking place at the NYU Abu Dhabi campus. The Network will include 30 university facilitator mentors, working in smaller groups across 100 school-aged youth participants.
All workshops will take place between 3-6pm.
