As space exploration expands beyond scientific and technological frontiers, art is opening new ways to consider humanity’s cultural presence beyond Earth. Prof. Barilaro examines how music and artistic practice can connect scientific research with human experience, from creative interventions in space missions to explorations of the “algorithmic sky.” Drawing on work at the NYUAD Space Art Laboratory, the presentation considers how art can serve as a tool for research, experimentation, and expression, while raising new questions about creativity, identity, and who gets to shape humanity’s voice in space. *Registrants will receive a QR code to access the campus.
