The fifth annual Astronomy Camp, organized by the Center for Astrophysics and Space Science, is an exciting, virtual program for students curious about space and the universe. It is led by NYU Abu Dhabi professors, research staff, and invited guest speakers. The camp curriculum covers core topics in astronomy, exoplanets, the solar system, the life cycles of stars, and the Milky Way galaxy.
Designed as a fast-paced and interactive crash course, the program gives students a real taste of what it’s like to study astronomy at the university level. Students who complete the camp will receive a digital certificate of participation. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Age and skill advisory: 13 years and up, high school and university level students, preference given to students who live in the United Arab Emirates or MENA region; we encourage youth interested in the sciences to apply.
Requirements: Students under 18 will require parental permission to attend.
