Translating Akkasah — Student Poetry and Photography Workshop

This workshop is for students and other participants who want to explore "translating" family photographs into new creative work. Poet and translator Gregory Pardlo and film photographer and translator Montana Ray will lead participants in exercises translating family photography into poetry and photography. We will view archival photographs from the Akkasah Photography Archive and consider translating our own family images.

Students are welcome to bring cameras, but no equipment is required.
