For this family-friendly art workshop, we invite children and their parents to create paper carnation flowers inspired by Ala Younis’s Cut Flowers installation, currently on view at the NYUAD Art Gallery. Participants will learn simple paper-crafting techniques while exploring themes of friendship, connection, and memory reflected in Younis’s work, which reimagines paper as a medium for storytelling and shared histories. The session encourages creativity, collaboration, and reflection, culminating in a collective “friendship garden."
